Toss coins, move through the classical yarrow-stalk method, or gather entropy from touch, timing, motion, and system randomness. Mutatio facilitates the ritual without pretending to speak for the book.

Stay with the text

Read the judgment, image, changing lines, and relating hexagram in one focused flow. Choose a bundled translation, adjust the text size, or use Apple’s system Translation on supported devices.

Keep a private journal

Save each consultation with its question and your notes. Return to past readings, browse all 64 hexagrams in Study, and notice recurring hexagrams, lines, and casting methods in Patterns.

Keep what is yours

Readings live on your device. Export and restore them as JSON, optionally protected with AES-256-GCM encryption, and save a self-contained viewer so your journal remains readable without Mutatio or an internet connection.

Offline by design

Mutatio makes no network requests and has no accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking. The book, the casting, and your reflections stay with you.
